Religious and Hebrew Schools
Posted in
Our Religious and Hebrew schools provide a solid foundation for our students’ transition from Jewish child to Jewish adult. Our goal is to inspire students to live Jewish lives, develop lifetime commitments to Jewish living, and foster the development of positive Jewish identities. We believe that every Jew makes his/her own personal brit (covenant) with God, and we want our students to make choices about their identities based upon a wealth of Jewish experience and information. There are three components to our Religious and Hebrew schools:
- Primary/Middle School—Religious school for students in preschool through 7th grade, which meets on Sunday at Caruso Junior High School in Deerfield.
- Hebrew School—Hebrew school for students 3rd through 6th grade, which meets on either Tuesday in Glenview or Tuesday in Deerfield (Please note, this is new for 2010-2011) or Thursday in Deerfield.
- Chai School—Religious high school for students 8th through 12th grade, including Confirmation and Post-Confirmation classes taught by our rabbis. This is held after Religious school at Caruso Junior High School in Deerfield.
