I believe in God the Creator. This has nothing to do with theories about the origin of the world, rather, it is based an intuitive sense of the presence of God within every living being... the same invisible flame burns within us all. Sometimes this intuition expresses itself as a tumultuousness of being, like the mighty freedom of the sea. Sometimes it is articulate in silence, as the deep stillness when a lamp burns by a person who has died. Sometimes it surrounds us with a cheerful ease... this is what it means to speak of all the earth being full of God's glory.
