You choose the topic
You choose the dates
You choose the time
You choose the location
Think of a topic you would like to delve into from a Jewish perspective. The new Learners’ Circles program at BJBE gives you the opportunity to choose the subject, the participants, the date, time and location of your class. Create your own group of 7-12 participants, and a member of the BJBE clergy will come to the designated location to lead 3-4 weekly or monthly discussions. The classes can be taught at any level appropriate for your group. Past and current topics have included:
- Torah, Ethics and Spirituality
- How Christian Holy Days impact upon the Jews
- Pirkei Avot
- Jewish Beliefs about God
- What Judaism says about Wellness and Balance in Life
- Maimonides’ 13 Principles of Faith
Consider inviting a group of friends to study together. How about colleagues? Have you thought of studying together in a group of parents and their adult children? Imagine a group of parents with their teenagers studying together. There are endless possibilities!
The beauty of Learners’ Circles is that it’s all up to you. There is no fee to start a group. If you can’t decide on a topic, our clergy will offer suggestions and together with you will create an exciting learning experience.
