37th Day of the Omer
If lack of greed is a measure of the wise mind, lack of anger is the measure of the wise heart. Anger arises from fear, and fear is rooted in the delusion of your separateness from others and from God. The wise know they are not the target, for there is no self or other with whom to contest.
Rabbi Rami Shapiro, Ethics of the Sages, Pirke Avot
Baruch Ata Adonai Elo-hei-nu me-lech ha-olam a-sher ke-d-sha-nu b- mitz-vo-tav, v-tzi-va-nu al s-fi-rat ha-omer.
Praised be you Adonai our God who rules the Universe instilling within us the holiness of mitzvot by commanding us to count the Omer.
Today is the thirty-seventh day - five weeks and two days of the Omer.
